Today we went to Wells to meet some friends for lunch. We spent most of the afternoon in Wells Cathedral as the weather was so appalling.
This scene reminded me of the Harry Potter films, wizards in their robes hurrying along the corridors at Hogwarts. In truth some of the Cathedral choir singers hurrying to rehearsal :) I love the way the red stands out.

Day 25
3rd September
Today P and I took the 20 min train ride to Florence. The weather was odd ,one minute it was blisteringly hot, then next thunder storms and torrential downpours.
We spent the morning climbing the 463 steps in the Duomo (Santa Maria Del Fiori), the views were breathtaking.
The storm left the river Arno incredibly still, this is a view of the Ponte Alle Vespucci bridge just along from the Ponte Vecchio. Check out that reflection!

Day 4
Its a lovely sunny day here, such a novelty for an English Summer at the moment! This afternoon Chap has been playing in the garden but the grass has got really long! He now has to kind of wade through it! The cat loves it though :)
Today I have been playing around with low f-stop on the aperture priority setting. This is my favourite because of the shallow DOF.

Day 7
Today we went for my belated birthday lunch in Henley with my Mum and Dad. The weather was gorgeous and we had a lovely walk along the tow path to Marsh Lock. These striking blue rowing boats really caught my eye :)

18/365 I Love Venice
Day 18
27th August
To celebrate our 30th birthdays this year we decided to treat ourselves to a trip of a lifetime. Venice. Chap stayed up the mountain with Grandma and Grandad - he was spoilt rotten.
P and I arrived at lunchtime on the train from Florence and took an awe inspiring and breathtaking trip along the Grand Canal on the Vaperetto.
I am in love with this city.
